On March 30, 2010 GRCS Sagarejo branch volunteer group "Imedi" staged a theatre performance "Pippi Longstocking" which was participated by socially vulnerable children from Sagarejo as well as the IDP children currently living in Sagarejo city. The event was organized in the framework of GRCS project-" Branch Development Through Effective Service Delivery".
On March 30, 2010 in the framework of the GRCS project -"Branch Development through Effective Service Delivery", GRCS Sagarejo branch hosted the working meeting held among the representatives of GRCS Sagarejo branch, the social support project coordinators, ICRC representatives and the vulnerable elderly people residing in Sagarejo. The above mentioned elderly people are the beneficiaries of the mini project "Social Centre for Older People" implemented jointly by GRCS and Sagarejo local authorities.
On March 30, 2010 GRCS Sagarejo branch volunteer group "Harmonia" organized an exhibition of the handicrafts made by vulnerable elderly beneficiaries. The event took place at Sagarejo public school #2 and was organized in the framework of GRCS project "Branch Development through Effective Service Delivery".
On March 24, 2010 in the framework of the project "Branch Development through Effective Service Delivery" a meeting was organized at the GRCS Sagarejo branch, which was participated by the coordinator of the project "Social Support for Older People" and representatives of the local government, as well as the groups of the older people who currently are beneficiaries of the mini project "Social Centre for Older People".
On March 19, 2010, Georgia Red Cross Society organized a seminar for GRCS Gardabani branch. The main topics of the event were: disseminating knowledge on the RC/RC International Movement and its fundamental principles and also informing the participants on GRCS fundraising techniques and practices. The seminar was participated by 15 volunteers of GRCS Gardabani branch.
Through March 13-14, 2010 a seminar on identifying the issues for advocacy and project efficient implementation at central and local levels was conducted within the frames of the project "Social Support to Vulnerable Older People in Tbilisi". The following topics were covered on the seminar: increasing need for advocacy, main principles of advocating on relevant issues and putting advocacy into practice.
On March 11-12, 2010 GRCS NHQ staff - the organisational development coordinator, the resource mobilisation officer and health care officer visited GRCS Zugdidi and Senaki branches. The meetings with high officials of regional and local authorities aimed at information sharing on GRCS and future cooperation were held. The workshop with the Zugdidi branch leadership and volunteers was also conducted.
On March 13, 2010 the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel hosted a Spring Expo featuring arts and crafts from different organizations and artists. The event was organized by "International Women's Association" and the participants of the event were once again given an opportunity to surprise the guests with variety of exposed items.
On March 8, 2010 in the frames of the GRCS organizational development project, GRCS Gardabani branch celebrated the International Women's Day in the Sartichala village.
