World without Nicotine

On November 29, 2009 GRCS Senaki branch organized the Anti-Smoking action in Senaki. The volunteers of Senaki branch were directly involved in the action and provided various creative materials.

Throughout the day GRCS volunteers presented the pictures on anti-smoking theme in the streets of Senaki. By means of catchy posters and paintings, the Red Cross volunteers encouraged the population to give up the smoking which is harmful for their health. Interesting slogans and paintings captured the attention of public even from distance. The Red Cross volunteers informed the people on the negative effects caused by tobacco consumption. Following slogans were demonstrated: "World Without Nicotine", "Smoking Kills" etc.

GRCS volunteers placed special boxes in the streets and the pedestrians were encouraged to drop the cigarette there. A huge cigarette imitation including all cigarette boxes was publicly destroyed during the Anti-Smoking action.

Georgia Red Cross encourages such actions in other regions of Georgia and promotes the healthy life- style among public.
