Fundraising


In 2008, the Fundraising Concept of GRCS was designed in order to provide stable functioning of the National Society. The main goal of fundraising for NS is to form a steady and transparent system of obtaining financial resources from different sources, which must satisfy ethical principles of RC/RC fundraisers.

The Strategic Objectives of fundraising determine to give as many people and institutions as possible the opportunity to participate in NS's work and contribute to NS's partnership growth.

The activities aimed at fundraising are carried out by The National Society board, staff and volunteers. Different mechanisms of individual donations were worked out during this year:

  • On-line donation through the GRCS website which is available for donors at the international level;
  • Donation by telephone which is available for subscribers of main Georgian communicative companies;
  • Boxes for donation were set up.
  • Movable donation boxes were implemented and NS volunteers collect contribution on regular basis..

The Society spreads information about the webpage and telephone donation number by various means: banners, fliers, posters, wall calendars, pens, events.

Local Fund Raising programs are carried out by NS branches in close cooperation and coordination with NS fundraising team.

As an auxiliary to the State authorities of its own country in the humanitarian field, National Society has good partnership and cooperation with authority. Tbilisi City Hall often contributes to NS events and fundraising activities.

GRCS had a certain effect on the attempt of raising money from business structures and received extraordinary monetary and commodity donations from the country's advanced companies: "Geocell", "Pepsi-Cola", "Tav Georgia", "Tbilisi International Earport", "MacDonald's", "Novo group", "Sweet- Country", "Seacor", "Procreditbank", "Tbilisi Bus", shopping centres "Elitelectronics" and "Danish House".

GRCS's fundraising activities strive to include mutually results - Promote GRCS vision, Enhance profile of National Society and Generate incomes.

NS's goal is to archive effectively functioning system of fundraising that will be able to provide the National Society's activities defined by its charter and strategy with financial resources.
