Avian Flu

Georgia Red Cross Society contributes to the fight against the avian flu. It works in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, the National Centre of Disease Control and Medical Statistics, the World Health Organization and other stakeholders.

The GRCS activities include publishing of the informational leaflets on avian flu in the languages of ethnic minorities living in Georgia (Russian, Armenian, Azeri, Osetian, Abkhazian). The leaflets will be distributed in the target regions through the wide network of the Georgian Red Cross volunteers along to other promotional gifts.

The program is funded by the International Federation of the Red Cross / Red Crescent Societies.
