Through March 29 – April 3, 2013, the Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (VCA) trainings have been conducted in Sagarejo and Telavi by Georgia Red Cross Society (GRCS) Disaster Management (DM) Department.

On March 24th, 2013, heavy wind, floods and storms attacked Georgia. Natural disaster affected Tbilisi, Gori, Batumi, Kobuleti and Khelvachauri population. Thousands of houses were damaged and 20 schools were left without roof; river bank protections, electricity poles, trees and advertisement billboards were fallen down.

Through March 18-19, 2013, Georgia Red Cross Society (GRCS) Disaster Management (DM) Department organized workshops in Ambrolauri and Tkibuli. The workshops were attended by the representatives of Danish Red Cross, who were monitoring current projects in the target communities.

21-27 October, 2012 FA senior officer Tea Chikviladze participated in the Regional FA Meeting organized by the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), and hosted by the Crimea branch of the Ukrainian Red cross at Laspi, Autonomic Republic of Crimea, Ukraine.

On October 26, 2012 the presentation of the Georgia Red Cross Society (GRCS) project “Joint Local Authorities and Civil Society Organization Development of Social Strategies and Services to Most Vulnerable in Georgia” was held

Throughout 11-13 October 2012 GRCA FA senior officer participated in the First Aid Education European Network (FAEEN) annual meeting organized by the IFRC and FA reference center and hosted by the Irish Red Cross.
